New Year’s vacation in Japan

14 Jan

I was very lucky to have two friends come to visit me from Canada and two weeks off from work for the New Year’s holidays. We packed the four weeks they were here with lots of eating, drinking, exploring and traveling. We visited Hiroshima, Kyoto, Nara, Tokyo and Nagano. It amazes my students when I say I went to so many places!

It was very busy but very worth it! And now I have my tiny apartment to myself again and things are slowly getting back to normal. I’m very excited for 2013 as I think I’ll have a great year in Japan. Life is very comfortable here and I’m having so much fun exploring the city, country and the culture. The people are also fantastic, especially the people in Osaka. I have plans to work more, finding some private students and doing extra kids work with my company. Need to pay off my debts from the holiday! Will also be posting about each part of the trip in the days and weeks to come.
